When does the "Sun & Sand" contest start?

The contest runs from May 30, 2011 to September 2, 2011 inclusive.

What are the prizes?

ING DIRECT Broker Team is giving away 17 trips for 2 to Barbados,
The prize includes a five night/6 day getaway, departing October 16th, 2011 at the all-inclusive Almond Beach Village Resort in Barbados.
12 Trips will be awarded under the "Fund a Deal" draw category.
5 Trips will be awarded under the "Most Dollars Funded YTD" category.

Who can enter this contest?

All ING DIRECT authorized registered brokers in Canada who have already funded 5 deals in 2011 are eligible for this contest.

Brokers who are pooling under an ING DIRECT registered broker are NOT eligible, but their deals will be counted under the registered broker's name.
Centralized Lending desks are NOT eligible for the contest, nor any brokers submitting deals through a centralized lending desk.

I'm an ING DIRECT authorized mortgage broker. How do I enter the contest?

There are 2 easy ways for you to enter:
1) Fund a Deal: Every deal you fund during the contest period automatically enters your name in the "Fund a Deal" draw.
2) Most Dollars Funded YTD: Every dollar you fund from January 1, 2011 to the close of the contest period (Sept 2nd, 2011) is automatically tallied under your name on the "Most Dollars Funded YTD" list.

How do you decide who wins in the Most Dollars Funded YTD category?

ING DIRECT Broker Team will be automatically awarding trips to the top 5 brokers who have funded the most total dollars from January 1, 2011 to September 2, 2011 inclusive.

I don't have the ability to fund as many deals or high dollar deals as other brokers. How else can I win?

We are giving away the most trips (12 in total) in the "Fund a Deal" category, and to ensure everyone has an opportunity to win, we will be drawing from each Broker Status Level.
We will be drawing 4 trips from our "Providers" ballots.
We will be drawing 3 trips from our "Partners" ballots.
We will be drawing 3 trips from our "Orange Plus", ballots. and,
We will be drawing 2 trips from a combined "Orange Plus" & "Partner" ballots.

I don't know what my Broker Status Level is. How do I find out?

Please ask your ING DIRECT Regional Sales Manager - they will be happy to help you.

How many ballots can I earn in the "Fund a Deal" draw category?

There is NO limit for the "Fund a Deal" draw category. The number of ballots you earn depends on the number of deals you fund during the contest entry period.

How do I know how many ballots I've earned in the "Fund a Deal" draw category, or if I am in the top 5 dollars funded yet?

Simple...just ask your ING DIRECT Regional Sales Manager and they'll l be happy to provide you with your total ballots earned, and where you are in the standings of the top 5 dollars funded.

Do deals submitted before the contest start date count?

Yes. All deals that have been submitted and are in the pipeline are eligible as long as they fund within the contest period of May 30, 2011 to September 2, 2011 inclusive.

What if I change status during the contest period? What category will I be put in for the draw?

Your ballots will be entered into the draw of the Status Level category you are in at contest close date.
For example, if you start the contest as a Provider, but change to a "Partner", at the contest close date, all your ballots will then be entered into the "Partner" draw, and the "Partner & Orange Plus combined draw" .

What if I move companies during the contest? Are my ballots and total dollars funded counted from my previous location?

Yes. All ballots and dollars funded are listed under the Registered Broker's name, so they will be transferred with you for this contest.

What type of deals/mortgages earn me a ballot for the Fund a Deal draws?

Eligible deals include all conventional and uninsured mortgages, switches, and refinances. Existing client renewals are not eligible.

What type of deals/mortgages are eligible for Most Dollars Funded YTD category?

Eligible dollars funded include all dollars from conventional and uninsured mortgages, purchases, switches, and refinances. Only new money funded will be eligible. Existing Client renewals are not eligible.

Can I win more than one trip?

No. If you win in one category, you are no longer eligible for any other remaining draws or dollars funded prize categories.

I won, but can't go. Can I give my prize to someone else?

Yes! You are welcome to give your trip to another Mortgage Broker from your firm, but it must be approved by ING DIRECT first. In the event that you cannot attend or are unable to pass the trip along to another broker in your firm, your prize is considered non-redeemed, and another winner will be drawn by ING DIRECT.

When do I have to give you the names of who is travelling with me?

We must have the exact names of who will be travelling within 5 days from being notified that you are the winner. (Sorry about the short notice)

I won, and want to bring my family. Can I do that?

Yes. The prize is a trip for 2 (one room, double occupancy), but the rooms can accommodate up to 4 people (2 double beds). You simply pay the room difference, airfare, a-la-carte and off-resort charges per each additional guest.

I won, and would like to stay longer. Can I do that?

Yes. The prize is a trip for 6 days/5nights, and you have the option to extend it at your own cost.

Are the tickets transferable?

No. Once the airline & group event tickets are issued they are not transferable to any other person's name.
Once you have given us the travelers' names, everything is final. No exchanges or refunds are permissible.

What if my flight is delayed?

As you know, ING DIRECT has no control over weather, or air transit schedule changes. So once flights are confirmed and ticketed, it is out of our hands. No exchanges, credits or refunds will be given for missed flights by, or to the winner. It is the responsibility of the winner to arrive at the airport at the suggested time as indicated by the airline to ensure safe and timely boarding.

Do the flights and prize include cancellation/travelers/health insurance?

No, if you require flight/travel/health insurance, please do so at your own expense.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport in Barbados?

ING DIRECT will arrange and pay for airport shuttles in Barbados to and from the resort.
